We believe in God, the Living Spirit Almighty—One, indestructible, absolute, and self-existent Cause. This One manifests itself in and through all creation, but is not absorbed by its creation. The manifest universe is the body of God; it is the logical and necessary outcome of the infinite self-knowingness of God.

We believe in the incarnation of Spirit in everyone and that all people are incarnations of the One Spirit.

We believe in the eternality, the immortality, and the continuity of the individual soul, forever and ever expanding.

We believe that Heaven is within us and that we experience it to the degree that we become conscious of it.

We believe  the ultimate goal of life to be a complete emancipation from all discord of every nature and that this goal is sure to be attained by all.

We believe in the unity of all life, and that the highest God and the innermost God is one God. We believe that God is personal to all who feel this indwelling Presence.

We believe in the direct revelation of Truth through the intuitive and spiritual nature of the individual and that any person who lives in close contact with the indwelling God may become a revealer of Truth.

We believe that the Universal Spirit, which is God, operates through a Universal Mind which is the Law of God and that we are surrounded by this Creative Mind which receives the direct impress of our thought and acts upon it.

We believe in the healing of the sick through the power of this Mind.

We believe in the control of conditions through the power of this Mind.

We believe in the eternal Goodness, the eternal Loving kindness, and the eternal Givingness of Life to all.

We believe in our own soul, our own spirit, and our own destiny for we understand that the Life of all is God.

The Trinity Center for Spiritual Living is a diverse spiritual community expressing God as Love. We teach and embody spiritual principles to support our Core Values of love, healing, spiritual growth, oneness, health, abundance, service, and diversity.

LOVE:  God is love and so are you. Your ability to give and receive love is a gift from your Creator.

HEALING:  Anything and everyone can heal; wholeness is your natural and normal state.

ONENESS:  You are connected to every living being through an intricate web of divine life.

ABUNDANCE:  The Universe is a lavish and rich place; it is filled with abundance. You are heir to the entire estate.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH:  You are here to grow in your awareness of the Presence of God and to experience the depth of unconditional love.

SERVICE:  Service to others is an expression of our Oneness. It is a spiritual practice of compassion.

DIVERSITY:  We honor all paths to God and celebrate the diversity of an Infinite Creator.

WHAT IS THE TRINITY CENTER                                 FOR SPIRITUAL LIVING?

The Trinity Center for Spiritual Living is a member of a global organization called Centers for Spiritual Living with over 500 centers worldwide. Dr. Ernest Holmes founded the organization in the early 20th century. He believed there was a thread of truth running through every great religion and philosophy, and it was his desire to pluck out that thread, leaving behind all superstition, dogma, and religious opinion. He took that thread and created principles called the “Science of Mind,” these are the principles and beliefs we continue to teach and live today.

We believe in every religion and honor all paths to God. We believe that every life is sacred and valuable. We believe that every person is on a spiritual journey that will ultimately lead to his or her greatest good. TCSL uses the Science of Mind textbook written by Dr. Holmes as one of the resources for this belief. Dr. Holmes taught that the universe is created by an Infinite Mind; therefore, we should remain “open at the top,” always ready to incorporate new wisdom as it is revealed through the arts, science, and religion. We include the western Bible along with the eastern teachings of the Tao and other sacred texts as resources for spiritual truth.

TCSL celebrates and welcomes diversity. We believe every person holds equal value in the eyes of God regardless of religion, race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other identification that tries to separate us. TCSL holds the vision that one day we will see ourselves as ONE people on ONE planet, living in ONE universe governed by one God.

Question: What is the Science of Mind belief about Jesus?
Answer: We accept his example and teachings. We do not deny the divinity of Jesus, but rather we affirm the divinity of all people because God is the Creator of us all. We think of Jesus as an example, not an exception.

Question: Does Science of Mind believe Jesus is our Savior?
Answer: Any world teacher who helps humankind to be free from material, intellectual, or emotional bondage is a spiritual “savior.” Jesus showed us a way to be free, perhaps the most effective way ever known, and it can indeed release humankind from bondage.

Question: What does Science of Mind believe about the Bible?
Answer: It is one among many sacred scriptures, all of which were inspired by the One Mind and presented through various spiritual teachers. We believe that for Western people, the Judeo-Christian scriptures can offer a useful path to spiritual freedom. And, we also find truth in many of the world’s sacred texts.

Question: What does Science of Mind believe about God?
Answer: God is that transcendent and beautiful Mystery: the Origin of all; the Sustainer of all; the Truth of all that is; Presence and Principle; Love and Law; Life Itself; and the Substance of all form. This is, in part, our concept of God, but no person can fully explain what God is since God is infinite.

Question: Does Science of Mind believe in Eternal Damnation?
Answer: No, we do not. God does not create life and then destroy or condemn it. As free individuals, we may bring great difficulties upon ourselves, but that is as near as we come to so-called damnation. Then it is God, as perfect Law, Love, and Truth, to whom we may turn for release from these difficulties. The choice is always ours.

Question: Does Science of Mind believe in Hell?
Answer: Heaven and Hell are states of mind, and neither is a literal geographical place. Modern science has demonstrated that there is no actual “up” or “down” in this universe where heaven or hell might be. Both are in our minds.

whiteRev. Marcia White

Rev. Marcia White is a minister, life-coach and spiritual counselor, but most of all she is a master teacher whose greatest passion is to see everyone realize the highest possibility for their lives. All paths have led Marcia to this moment of sharing. A natural teacher, she is excited by the inquisitive and divine nature in us all and seeks to bring us understanding of our internal power. She teaches that power is a natural unlimited asset and is available to everyone. Genuine power comes from the Spirit within you, as you. When we learn to access the power within us, we can co-create our lives according to our deepest desires. During her 27-year career with diverse world cultural groups in the museum field, particularly at the American Museum of Natural History, and through her international travels, Marcia came to recognize how the oneness of Source is interwoven everywhere and through everything. Later, she formally studied truth at the Barbara King School of Ministry where she was ordained as a New Thought Minister and a Spiritual Counselor. She directed the Continuing Spiritual education program at Hillside International Truth Center for 8 years. Currently, she delivers Sunday messages and teaches spiritual empowerment courses at several New Thought Spiritual Centers in the Atlanta area. She is also a board member at the Trinity Center for Spiritual Living.

dan2Dan Burns

When I began my Science of Mind classwork in 1985, I had no intention of becoming a Prayer Practitioner. However, after completing the first two years of classwork, I was still hungry for more knowledge and training.  I obtained my license as a Religious Science Practitioner in 1990.  It is always a joy for me to work with those who request Affirmative Prayer.  I often feel that I have experienced additional growth and understanding as I offer my prayer for others.

karen bKaren Beard

Karen Beard, RScP, is a Native Atlanta and a Practitioner at the Trinity Center for Spiritual Living. She was introduced to the Science of Mind (SOM) teaching almost 10 years ago, but quickly learned that this had really been her heart’s beliefs for much of her life. She just didn’t know it had a name until that time. Karen has always been a keen student of comparative philosophies and finds that SOM encourages expansion of thought and spiritual inquiry.  She is a member of the Board at TCSL, leads meditations and assists during services.  She has spoken at other Spiritual Living Centers, led some classes at TCSL and practices Mindfulness Based Meditation.

Karen is a widow and mother of one daughter.  She loves books, history, all types of music, travel and has an insatiable curiosity about the world, in general.  She also believes that you stay younger if you remember to give yourself and others around you permission to play and find things to make you laugh.

chrisChris Wood

Chris is a Science of Mind Practitioner with many years devoted to new-thought teachings. She was raised in the Christian Science Church, spent five years in Unity, was a student of A Course In Miracles for 15 years, and found SOM with Kennedy Schultz at the Woodruff Auditorium. Now she is a Board member, avid class-taker, and administrative assistant at Trinity Center for Spiritual Living. Chris delights in antiques, home projects, estate sales, and doting on her first grandchild, Daniel.

petersDian Peters

Searching for ways to open up my intuitive abilities, I became a Reiki practitioner in 1992 and have been on the path of a healer every since.  I became a Reiki Master in 1994 and continued my training as a healer by adding the Silva Method, Reconnective Healing™ and Guided Meditation into my skills bank.  I perform bio-field assessments and treatments by allowing the Divine to decide the best source of energy for my clients and being a channel for that energy.  I use my intuitive skills to help others heal through energy sessions and intuitive readings.  Trinity Center for Spiritual Living is not only my spiritual home, it is also where I offer my intuitive healing services.

alomaAloma Sibley

I have been a Reiki Master for several years after studying with Dian Peters and have consistently served with the TCSL team in offering Reiki to the congregants during our regular schedule.  This has been valuable in my own growth as my ability to sense energy and become an open vessel after the attunements at each of the levels.  Additionally, I am a licensed Science of Mind practitioner after several years of classes.  A friend gave me This Thing Called You in 1978 and I found the writings of Ernest Holmes to be so insightful that I pursued learning more as each opportunity arose.  The classes with the associated discussions, exercises and guidance gave me insight in applying the SOM principles in my own life.  It has been an honor to be able to offer both affirmative prayer and direct and remote Reiki to so many others over the years.  I am most grateful for this opportunity.

We know that our children come to us youth programstraight from the Divine. We recognize that each one shines his or her own unique light brightly into the world. With complete acceptance, loving support, and creative opportunities, that Light is nurtured and lifted.

Trinity Center for Spiritual Living offers joyful, enlightening Sunday classes for our youth. Each Sunday we dive into empowering spiritual principles in age appropriate ways, while teaching the kids practical applications of a positive spirituality. We believe these teachings will support our kids in becoming the consciousness expanding adults they came into this world to be.

Make an IMPACT through Sacred Service

You have gifts to give, talents to share, and new things to learn. Trinity Center for Spiritual Living needs you to share your service in a positive, loving, and spiritually growing environment. Everyone in our community carries a piece of the vision. Which piece are you carrying?

One of our five spiritual practices is Sacred Service. Offering our Sacred Service is both a way to make a significant contribution to the community that feeds us spiritually and also to engage in a spiritual discipline that awakens us to the greater truth of our own being.

BE OF SACRED SERVICE by becoming a Volunteer at the Trinity Center for Spiritual Living

Make an impact within our community and find belonging and connection. Give of yourself through one or more of our Sacred Service Ministry Councils. These teams help with the tasks necessary to provide for the maintenance and administration of the Center as well as those that help with services to the community at large.

It is an honor to find a place of service that fits your spiritual path. Let us support your desire to be involved in sacred service. Volunteers are always needed to assist with many facets of the Center’s operation.
